Agrokor’s suppliers meet ahead of government talks

Five of Agrokor’s main suppliers held a meeting today in Zagreb to agree on a joint strategy ahead of Tuesday’s talks with the government on the future of the financially troubled consortium. While details of the meeting were not disclosed, the consensus was that the continued stability of Agrokor was of paramount importance.

Jadranko Prlić presents his appeal at Hague tribunal

The appeal hearings for six Bosnian Croat military and political leaders who were convicted and sentenced to a total of 111 years in prison in 2013 began today in the Hague. Over the next week each of these men will present their appeals, before the prosecution presents theirs. Today was the turn of the first accused and former political leader of Herceg Bosna, Jadranko Prlić.

PM says demographic revival key priority for years ahead

While attending a conference in Zagreb on the economic and social challenges facing Croatia, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said today that between 2001 and 2011, the Croatian population had shrunk by about 150,000 people and this was why demographic revival would be a key priority in the years and decades ahead.
